A five-level progression from foundational competence to recognised thought leadership. Each level builds on the last, creating a structured career development journey within the STI ecosystem.
Inspired by Germany's dual education model and aligned with Strategic Aim IV, the STI Academy bridges the gap between academic learning and workplace competence through structured partnerships between academic institutions and corporate members.
Partnership Model: Academic members contribute curriculum expertise and student pipelines. Corporate members contribute workplace placements and mentoring capacity. Start-up members offer innovation project opportunities. The STI Academy coordinates the matching, assessment, and credential issuance across all parties.
Every STI Academy programme is structured to generate verifiable BBBEE skills development points for corporate members, turning training investment into transformation compliance.
The STI Academy generates revenue through a combination of individual course fees, corporate training packages, and certification services.
Note: All fees are preliminary estimates subject to scrutiny and validation. Corporate members receive preferential pricing. Start-up chapter members qualify for a 40% subsidy on individual course fees. Academic chapter members access curriculum co-design modules at no additional cost.
Enrol your team in the STI Academy and build the policy, innovation, and compliance capabilities your organisation needs while earning BBBEE skills development points.
